On Saturday, April 6th, a benefit event will be held at Chickie’s & Pete’s in Philadelphia for former Babygrande artist and Outerspace member, Crypt The Warchild. Earlier this week, Crypt revealed to the public that he has been battling Hodgkins Lymphoma. The fundraiser, which features an open bar and food from 7 to 10pm, will include live DJ sets by DJ Eclipse and longtime Outerspace affiliate 7L. Tickets for the event will be available at the door for $40, but they can also be purchased via PayPal by sending payment to firstname.lastname@example.org. All proceeds will go to Crypt and his family.
Crypt, who is one-half of Outerspace alongside Planetary, is additionally a member of the underground super group Army Of The Pharaohs, and is also one of the most revered Jedi Mind Tricks affiliates. In 2004, Outerspace released their debut album through Babygrande Records. The group continued its relationship with Babygrande by releasing their 2006 album, Blood Brothers, through the label, in addition to the release of Army Of The Pharaohs’ debut album, The Torture Papers, the same year. In 2008, Outerspace once again teamed up with Babygrande for the release of God’s Fury.
Crypt The Warchild is a tremendous artist whose music truly reflects his passion and dedication for his craft. From everyone at Babygrande Records, we wish Crypt and his family the best.
